This is the planter I made out of our old grill. It had such a pretty frame, that I didn’t want to waste it throwing it away. I took out all the “guts” and filled it with potting soil. I have some dump rake tines that I would like to fasten to the top and complete the flower cart look, but as yet I have neither quite figured out how to do that, nor taken the time.

  1. That is so neat! I've never seen anything like leaf casting -- thanks so much for sharing! It turned out great, by the way.

  3. love this idea and will have me seriously looking at my own grill before we toss it it! Plus using the rake tines..oh I like that! use a liquid soder maybe?

  4. Ohhh! This is a wonderful upcycle project; seriously! If I had an old grill that had those good bones, I'd try something similar. This is a new classic. :) Following along now thru Someday Crafts. Pam @ Sallygoodin
